PacifiCare of Arizona provides healthcare products for individuals, families and businesses, including HMOs, PPOs, consumer-driven products such as HSAs, and supplementary programs such as dental and vision care. PacifiCare also offers supplementary Medicare products to eligible participants.
- PacifiCare’s HMO plan is Signature Value, providing network-oriented healthcare with low premiums. Enrollment in this plan requires choosing a primary care physician who is responsible for coordinating healthcare and providing referrals when necessary.
- Signature POS provides a more flexible option for those who are willing to work with a primary care physician but would like the option to use non-network providers (higher deductibles and co-payments apply for non-network visits).
- SignatureOptions and Signature Independence (Indemnity) provide even more freedom for consumers, with no requirement for a primary care physician and the opportunity to use non-network providers. The Independence plan completely waives the requirement for using network providers to reduce health costs.
- Members who enroll in a qualified high-deductible health plan can use a Health Savings Account to establish a tax-free source of funds for healthcare expenses.
- Flexible Spending Accounts allow the consumer to deposit pre-tax funds into a dedicated savings account. The funds can be used for qualified out-of-pocket healthcare expenses, and work-related day care expenses.
- Employers can add supplemental products, including dental and vision care, and a prescription drug plan (offered through a subsidiary of PacifiCare).
