Great-West offers a wide range of healthcare products, including both traditional and consumer-driven plans for individuals, families and small groups.

• Point of Service plans require the selection of a primary care physician who coordinates healthcare services, providing preventative care and referrals to network specialists when required. Under the Great-West Open Access plan, choosing a primary care physician is optional.

• Consumer-driven plans include health savings accounts (combined with a high-deductible plan) and health reimbursement accounts (based on a pay-as-you-go design. These are ideal options for individuals and families who want to manage all aspects of their healthcare.

• The Great-West Consumer Advantage plan combines a three-tiered PPO with a range of deductible, co-payment and co-insurance options. This plan provides more flexibility than a POS plan, but does not utilize a savings or reimbursement account. This is a good option for anyone who prefers not to manage their own healthcare, but would like a more affordable option—the Consumer Advantage plan saves the average user 10-15% of the costs of a traditional PPO.

• Great-West’s prescription drug plan is a three-tiered program in which individuals can choose whether to receive brand-name or generic drugs. However, those who choose generic or preferred brand-name drugs benefit from lower co-payments.

• Available dental plans include POS and Indemnity plans, as well as Dental+ plans that provide no-cost preventative services.
